The twenty four inch gauge divides the day, the common gavel knocks off the rough corners of the mind, the plumb, square and level teach uprightness, virtue and equality, and the trowel spreads the cement of brotherly love.

The plate arranges gavel, trowel, plumb, level and gauge as engraved gold instruments, with the rough and perfect ashlars, a tracing board and the Square and Compasses with the letter G among the studies in the margins.

The tools print in gold and bronze and read sharply on black.
